Ingredients’ Benefits:

Epsom Salts – Epsom salt bathwater softens rough, dry skin, and exfoliates dead skin cells. It also soothes skin affected by skin conditions.
An Epsom salt bath provides pain relief and reduce swelling in dogs living with certain types of inflammatory conditions, such as arthritis.
Healthy magnesium levels can boost brain neurotransmitters that are responsible for inducing sleep and reducing stress. While the study looked at oral supplements, Epsom salt can have a similar effect.
Epsom salt will help treat rough paws, using it as natural scrub, it will also help healing infections.

Dead Sea Salts – Dead Sea Salts are rich in minerals (including magnesium) and are a natural way to ease tension and help relax dogs. Since they are high in potassium, magnesium and calcium, it helps soothe itchy skin and even help reduce eczema-prone skin.
Your dogs will benefit from it with healthier skin and coats, moreover several studies have shown that using Dead Sea salt in bath water can ease dogs’ arthritis and that its effects can last up to a month. Dead Sea Salts will help treat dry paws, using it as natural scrub, it will exfoliate dead cells.

Himalayan Salts – Himalayan Salts were deposited during the formation of the Himalayan mountains about 50 million years ago. Since that time, they were locked into protective layers of sediment thanks to a series of volcanic eruptions. These ancient salt deposits have been naturally preserved from pollutants by this sediment, which helps us access some of the purest, most beneficial salt in the world.

Himalayan salt contains 84 essential minerals. While it has less magnesium than Epsom salts or dead sea salts, it is a well-rounded approach to healthy skin, and it can also reduce stress.

Coconut Milk Powder – Coconut milk powder is excellent for dry skin and those dogs with specific skin conditions. Coconut milk is packed with vitamins C, E, B1, B3, B5, and B6 as well as iron, selenium, sodium, calcium, magnesium and phosphorus. Coconut milk contains good concentration of lauric acid, a medium chain fatty acid (MCFA) which gets converted to a compound with antiviral and antibacterial properties. It is a great moisturizer due its soothing properties. The natural fatty acids in coconut milk help treat dry and irritated skin and remove harmful bacteria. It also helps cooling the skin and reducing pain, swelling and redness.

Dry Lavender Flowers – Lavender Flowers contain vitamins and antioxidants that promote good skin health, natural skin cleansing properties, they help to soothe irritated skin, promote collagen production and help to heal damaged skin.

Lavender Essential Oil – Lavender Oil does a great job at balancing your dog’s skin’s moisture barrier, so that it is not too oily or too dry. The effects of lavender are well known for managing stress and reducing anxiety. Not surprisingly, it offers the same calming benefits for your skin. Lavender oil’s anti-inflammatory properties make it great for soothing and healing skin that is irritated or reddened from insect bites, or bacteria. Its antiseptic properties also help skin to heal faster, while fighting and preventing further infection.

Atlas Cedarwood Essential Oil – Cedarwood Essential Oil is also ideal in preventing or healing skin small abrasions thanks to its anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties. It is also mostly used in reducing dandruff or dry skin. It also helps repel fleas, ticks, and moths.

How to use:

A ratio of 1 tablespoon of salts to 6 cups of comfortable lukewarm water is typical, you can then decide whether to immerse your dog in the salted bath, give them a sponge bath or soak / scrub their paws.
The scrub is a perfect exfoliation that removes dead skin and eliminates dandruff.
A soak will help your pets become less itchy and these salts offer many benefits to arthritic dogs.

Caution & Considerations:

  • Too much salt can be drying to the skin, and dry skin can be itchy, so be careful not to overdo it.
  • Epsom salts can act as a laxative if your dog ingests them by licking residue off his coat, so take precautions to avoid this.
  • Never allow dogs to drink salted water.
  • Protect ears and eyes.
